Meet Kobee Vance 

Kobee Vance is Executive Producer of Mississippi Edition. Born and raised in Mississippi, they grew up in the Jackson area and interned at MPB while in High School. They attended the University of North Alabama, studying Radio, Television and Interactive Media. During their time in the Shoals area, they found their calling in radio. After graduating, they returned to MPB to join the news team as a freshman reporter. During their time reporting, they covered the COVID-19 pandemic, state politics, gender rights and the Jackson Water Crisis. They have received national recognition for their coverage of flooding in the Jackson area, and contributed to the station winning 2023 Excellence in Broadcasting Award at the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters awards.
