Richard Sawyer

Richard Sawyer lives in Ocean Springs, MS with his wife, Kate, and his two children Emma and James. He is a teacher at Jackson Elementary School in Pascagoula, MS.  Richard is the former Choral Director and chair of the fine arts department at Ocean Springs High School.  Richard attended the Eastman School of Music, the University of Southern Mississippi, William Carey University, and the University of South Alabama.  He has a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance, a Master's and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership.  Mr. Sawyer is also the music director at First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula, MS.  He has a long history of performance and community service.
