Charles Cowan

Charles was born and raised in Ridgeland, Mississippi and is an attorney at Wise Carter Child & Caraway, P.A.  His law practice centers on litigation and appeals in Mississippi state and federal courts. Throughout his career, Charles has litigated major public policy matters on behalf of Mississippi governmental clients, extending to state and federal legislative redistricting, ballot initiatives, and state and federal constitutional cases.

Charles obtained his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Mississippi.  He grew up listening to MPB radio with his late grandmother Dr. Laura Inez Barge, a Christian literature scholar and former chair of the English Department at Belhaven University.  In his free time, Charles enjoys exercising, fishing, hunting, golf, and traveling. Charles lives I Madison, MS with his wife Kristin and daughter Rosemary.
