Wendy Clemons

Wendy Clemons has worked at the Mississippi Department of Education since July of 2015. At MDE, she has been Director of Professional Development, assisted with accelerated programs, and is currently also serving as Associate State Superintendent for the Office of Career and Technical Education. She is also filling the roll of Executive Director of Secondary Education and Professional Development, worings with K-12 counseling, innovative programs (Excellence for All, Project Lead the Way, Early College High School, Career Academies), 6-12 academic and career and technical education and dropout prevention, as well as facilitates professional learning K-12.
Wendy has worked in education for over 27 years as a teacher, lead teacher, District Curriculum Director, and K-12 school principal. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Southern Mississippi and graduate work at Mississippi College and Mississippi State University.
