Featuring
Amy Stewart
Amy Stewart is the author of Miss Kopp Just Won’t Quit (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), a novel based on the true story of one of America’s first female deputy sheriffs and her two rambunctious sisters.
Stewart is the New York Times bestselling author of ten books, including Girl Waits with Gun, the inaugural book in the Kopp sisters series. The three siblings’ adventures continue in Lady Cop Makes Trouble and Miss Kopp’s Midnight Confessions.
Her popular nonfiction titles include The Drunken Botanist, Wicked Plants, and Flower Confidential.
Stewart lives in Portland with her husband, Scott Brown, a rare book dealer. They own an independent bookstore, Eureka Books, which is so independent it lives in California while they live in Oregon.
The entertaining Kopp Sisters books have recently been optioned for television by Amazon Studios.
Julie Odell
Julie Odell is a singer-songwriter from New Orleans. Her latest singles are “Cardinal Feather” and “Strange Endangered Bird.” Her previous album was I Put Treasures in My Pockets.
The Ruston native’s sublime melodies—each note gripping the air around it—make surprise turns along her buoyant and versatile voice, floating above fingerpicked strings blowing around feathery reverb.
