JACKSON, Miss. – Deep South Dining on MPB Think Radio will welcome Malcolm White, restaurateur and director of the Mississippi Arts Commission, as its new host beginning Monday, April 22 at 9 a.m.
Deep South Dining is the program all about the culture and flavor of southern cuisine and airs each Monday at 9 a.m. White, a regular host of MPB’s Mississippi Arts Hour, has been in the restaurant business for 24 years.
“I love talking about food, and I love being on MPB,” said White, who has been interested in food culture for a long time. “I’m looking forward to talking with people about recipes and foods they grew up eating. On the show, we’ll discuss different takes on dishes and how foods are cooked differently in certain areas of the state.”
Joining White each week will be Carol Puckett, founder of Everyday Gourmet and former president of the Viking Hospitality Group. Puckett will offer her expert perspective on all topics. Other guests will join White and Puckett from time to time.
