JACKSON, Miss. – Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann will lead Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s Workforce Wednesday presentation on Jan. 18, at 11:30 a.m., when the monthly workforce development program returns to an in-person workshop.
Hosemann will present “A Glance at Mississippi’s Workforce,” discussing the state’s challenges and opportunities, and highlighting the importance of educating students about the numerous pathways to work in the state.
There is limited seating for the in-person workshop at MPB, located at 3825 Ridgewood Road in Jackson. However, the event will be livestreamed via Facebook and Zoom. Those interested can register for the event here.
Workforce Wednesday is an initiative of the MPB Education Department. The hour-long workshop connects partner agencies and organizations, facilitates open dialogue about workforce development, and provides professional development opportunities to all Mississippians.
The workshops, which are held every third Wednesday of the month, had been virtual during the pandemic.
