JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi prison officials say one of two men who escaped from a prison near Pearl has been recaptured.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections said Wednesday that 31-year-old Jonathan Blankenship was taken back into custody.
The department didn't immediately say where or when Blankenship was caught.
Authorities have identified the other escapee as Christopher Benson High.
They say Blankenship and High were found missing July 5 from Central Mississippi Correctional Facility.
Blankenship was serving a five-year sentence on a conviction for aggravated assault on a police officer and conspiracy in Alcorn County.
The 25-year-old High was sentenced to 12 years for a burglary conviction.
The search has centered on an area in Pearl about 5 miles from the prison.
