We had a busy week at MPB honoring our Radio Reading Service and MPB Foundation volunteers, former Governor, Ronnie Musgrove, stopped by for an interview, and two board members announced their retirement at the MPB board meeting.
Summer Learning Family Fun Day
Last weekend our education department hosted Summer Learning Family Fun Day, that took place on June 20th, at the Jackson Convention Complex. The event included: PBS KIDS performances, hands on learning stations, vendors, give-a-ways and many other attractions. MPB collaborated with other organizations to call attention to the importance of summer learning opportunities and celebrate the impact of high-quality programs in curbing the harmful effects of summer learning loss. MPB Board Meeting
Tuesday, at the MPB Board meeting, Dr. Eric Clark, Executive Director of the Mississippi Community College Board and Leyser Hayes, Asst. Attorney General, announced that they are retiring from state government and the MPB Board. Thank you for your service!
