Horticulturist Felder Rushing joins Gulfport chef Rob Stinson in the new season premiere of Fit to Eat airing Saturday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. on MPB TV. They prepare grilled chicken Mediterranean using a delicious blend of smoked paprika, capers, Kalamata olives, sundried-tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and herbs.
Fit to Eat season five airs Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. through May 21. An encore presentation airs on Sundays at 10 a.m.
Chef Rob noted, “It’s like we’re in a jungle today, and it looks fantastic!” In typical fashion, Felder brought lots of potted plants to decorate the Fit to Eat kitchen.
“I like having stuff that’s pretty to look at, and when you’re tired of looking at it, you can eat it,” Felder responded.
Felder and Chef Rob serve the chicken Mediterranean with oregano brown rice and grilled zucchini. “I like to cook the brown rice with vegetable stock as opposed to water….no salt, no fat,” added Chef Rob.
Among the guests Chef Rob welcomes in season five are restaurateur Jeff Good, banker Travis Moore and fitness studio manager Denise Moulier. Debra Hunter, host of Deep South Dining on MPB Think Radio, and Chef Rob cook a very flavorful crawfish etouffee.
Look forward to dishes like blackened shrimp tacos, healthy homemade tortillas, Panzanella salad,
pork stir-fry, couscous salad, onion and garlic soup and more!
