MPB education staff joined Dawson Elementary School (Jackson, MS) staff and students for a Vocabulary Parade Celebration! From A to Z, it was a day used to celebrate vocabulary words and literacy fun as each student and staff member displayed a word of their choice. Laughter and cheers filled the auditorium as each student showcased their word choice. The event engaged students in literacy fun in hopes of getting them excited about summer reading. This project is funded by a Ready To Learn grant provided by the Department of Education to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
