Playful Learning for Educators Workshop

MPB’s Early Childhood team in partnership with Medgar Evers Boulevard Library recently hosted the PBS KIDS Playful Learning for Educators workshop. 

The workshop entitled ‘Inquiry with The Cat in the Hat’ was designed to engage early childhood educators in learning activities to support the development of early inquiry skills in young learners. Educators explored hands-on, learner-centered experiences designed to foster young learner’s engagement with scientific inquiry. 

Participants were able to make connections between the activities, featured media content from The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, and their own practice. Participants showed great excitement to implement the modeled practices in their classroom setting and learning environments. 

This project is funded by a Ready To Learn grant provided by the Department of Education to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
