Summer Reading Providers Training

MPB in partnership with “One Jackson, Many Readers” is hosting a summer reading training for summer program providers. Participants from area organizations and churches will be provided with resources and engaging and interactive activity ideas to make learning fun and to incorporate the JPS Summer Reading into their programs this summer.

Summer reading is important because students who do not read can lose up to three months of academic growth.  “One Jackson, Many Readers” is an expansion of a unique collaboration between Jackson Public Schools, the Jackson-Hinds Library System, the United Way of the Capital Area, the City of Jackson, and multiple community partners.

Lunch will be provided.

When? Tuesday, May 6th from 10 am - 2 pm
