The launch of MPB Music Radio saw more than the beginning of a brand new HD Radio station.  MPB’s classical music director, Karen Hearn, has decorated her new musical “digs” with some very new, very unique programs including the contemporary music offering, Modern Classical Music.  On Modern Classical Music, Hearn offers listeners the opportunity to experience new compositional styles and performance techniques, as well as modern renditions of more traditional-sounding music.  Says Hearn, “It’s not about finding the line where classical music begins or ends.  It’s about forgetting the line and disregarding all of the –isms and classifications.  It’s about listening to music you may not know.”  Find out what’s new in classical music on MPB Music Radio’s Modern Classical Music.
