Recognizing Innocence

Air date 08/10/11

The University of Mississippi's Innocence Project has been trying for four years to help wrongfully convicted prisoners in the Magnoila state have their sentences overturned. In a dozen cases it has been successful. Earlier this year, the University of and the Innocence Project together produced a gripping documentary about the wrongful conviction of two Mississippians who after a combined 30 years in prison had their innocence recognized and their sentences overturned. MPB's Sandra Knispel spoke in Oxford with the movies co-producer and the director of the Mississippi Innocence Project, Tucker Carrington.
