Alcohol Abstention During Pregnancy

Air date 06/28/11

For more than 10 years, the Mississippi Department of Mental Health has been educating Mississippians about the potential damage caused to a child whose mother drank during pregnancy. In Mississippi, more than 450 babies are born each year with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.  Joining us to talk about the danger of FASD, and how to encourage expectant mothers to put away the bottle, is Trisha Hinson, FASD Coordinator for the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
