Thursday, Dec. 8 Get Flu Shots

This week, the laboratory at the Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed the first case of influenza this year. Even though the peak of flu season doesn't come until a little later, Health Department officials are encouraging Mississippians to get their shots now. Dr. Rebecca "Tree" James from the Department of Health says it isn't too early to be prepared.

Then, the Business Break with some advice to help out of work Mississippians get Back in Business!

Also, Governor Haley Barbour has embarked on a three-stop political farewell tour of sorts. He was in Tupelo yesterday where he told MPB's Sandra Knispel that dark clouds are ahead for Mississippi, urging a return to core family values to solve the Magnolia state's socio-economic, educational and health problems.
