Segment 1

Control of the Mississippi House of Representatives remained in question Wednesday as ballot counting continued in tight races. Republican officials, confident that GOP candidates would prevail, claimed they had a majority.
But Rickey Cole, executive director of the state Democratic Party, refused to concede, saying only, "It's awfully close."
Republicans needed to pick up eight seats to claim control of the 122-seat House for the first time since Reconstruction.

Joining us to talk about the balance of power and other issues riding on Tuesday's election is Sid Salter. He's Journalist in Residence at Mississippi State University.

Segment 2

This week's Business Break offers the latest business headliens affecting Mississippians. Also, Dr. Nancy Lottridge-Anderson and Dr. Kristena Gaylor talk about why bankers are spending the week in Mississippi classrooms.

Segment 3
High School Fooball's regular season is over. For the MAIS - which represents most of the PRIVATE schools, their champions will be crowned this weekend. The MHSAA - a mostly PUBLIC school organization - begins several weeks of playoffs. Joining us to talk about this year's Football Post-Season is Mississippi Edition sports correspondent, Jay White. Jay tells MPB's Ezra Wall that Lafayette County - currently number ONE in the MPB Top 25 Poll - stands a good chance of winning it all.
