Occupy Mississippi

Air date 10/14/11

The Occupy Wall Street movement, which supporters are now calling Occupy Together, has spread across the country to Mississippi. Participants are quick to point out that they are a leader-less movement operating by general assembly, and that they have no official spokesperson. Still, MPB's Jeffrey Hess was able to catch up with several of them at a meeting in Jackson. The group is preparing for a weekend demonstration in the capital city. Here, in their own words, are some of the issues driving the Occupy Mississippi train.

MPB's Jeffrey Hess spoke with Occupy Mississippi supporters, Landon Wilson, Lexi Moody, and Nathan Barnes.
They and others will gather at Jackson's Smith Park on Saturday morning at 7:00.
