25 Years of Habitat in Miss.

Air date 10/03/11

Mississippi's working poor always have trouble borrowing money to buy a house, according to leaders of the Jackson Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. In that organization's 25 years, they have provided the means to home ownership for 499 Jackson-area families. This weekend, they broke ground on their 500th project. We spoke to former Mississippi First Lady, Elise Winter,  and event co-chair, Noni Buchanan, about that milestone and habitat's inauspicious beginnings.
