Jobs Program for HUD Voucher Recipients

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded Mississippi almost 800-thousand dollars to help public housing agencies work with families who participate in HUD’s Housing Choice Voucher program.  The money helps pay coordinators who help these voucher recipients to find training and jobs. Eventually, the goal is to make the Voucher recipients self-sufficient.  Joining us to talk about the program is Tammy Turner of the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority, Region 8.
