1 - Donations to the Mississippi Salvation Army's Red Kettle program are down 10 - 15% this holiday season. It's their most important fundraiser of the year. Mark Jones, spokesman for the Salvation Army, tells MPB's Daniel Cherry the lower than usual fundraising could cut into vital services.

 
2 - One private company has the lion's share of the Mississippi sex education market. It's called "Choosing the Best" and it stands to take home hundreds of thousands of dollars, In part three of the Southern Education Desk investigative series on sex education, Annie Gilbertson reports.
 
3 - Jon Meacham is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House." He has also tackled the Civil Rights Movement, World War Two, and religion in American Government. In this week's Book Club, Meacham talks to us about his latest book, "Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power."
