Segment 1 (over intro music fade-out):
Since 2009, $83-million of Federal G.I. Bill money has come into Mississippi.  14% of that has gone to for-profit colleges, even though those schools only enroll 7% of the students.  That's all according to a new report released by the Mississippi Center for Justice.  Joining us with more is the report's co-author, Matt Williams.
Segment 2:
For almost 50 years Operation Shoestring has been helping youth in one low-income capital city neighborhood make the most of their education.  Their annual fundraiser - a Conversation About Community - has brought some big names to the table to talk about how to positively impact not only that community, but impoverished communities across the state.  This year's panel will include former Governor Haley Barbour, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba and the Reverend Keith Tonkel.  Robert Langford joins us to talk about the upcoming Conversation, and about the work of his organization, Operation Shoestring...
Segment 3:
This Friday night, high school football playoffs will be in full swing.  Jay White - host of MPB's Season Pass - joins our Ezra Wall to lay out the playoff picture, and tell you who to keep an eye on.
