We all know Tax Time means it's time to Pay the Piper. But now the Internal Revenue Service is warning about scammers posing as the IRS, trying to get YOUR money. Dee Harris-Stepter is with the IRS. She joins us to talk about how the new scam works.

Four out of ten Mississippi kids are not adequately prepared to enter Kindergarten. That's according to a survey of kindergarten teachers done by Mississippi Kids Count.  We first talked about the report yesterday, and found out that  ONE  Mississippi school district has received positive national attention for their work with young kids. Nadine Coleman is with the Petal School District, and works with the Excel By Five program in the community. She talked to MPB's Jeffrey Hess about what Petal is doing right.

We also hear tips from Workplace 101.

A new book is chronicling the life of former Governor William Winter. Author Charles C. Bolton takes a close look at Governor Winter's life, from his early days in the legislature, to his time collecting the "Black Market Tax" on illegal liquor, to the education reforms that first established state-funded kindergarten. Bolton spoke with MPB's Ezra Wall.
