1 - A new report says Mississippi lawmakers should view the health care industry as an economic driver, but doesn't make a recommendation on one of the biggest health care decision facing the state - Medicaid expansion.  Blake Wilson is President of the Mississippi Economic Council, the organization behind the Blueprint Mississippi report. Wilson tells MPB's Jeffrey Hess why healthcare is so important to Mississippi's economy.  Jeffrey also spoke with the study's author, Bob Hess. Hess says the economic impact of healthcare boils down to one thing.

3 - Mississippian's who wish to vote absentee in this years Presidential election must have their ballot submitted to their county clerks office by 5PM November 5th. That means if you haven't begun the process of applying for an absentee ballot, now is the time. Lee Westbrook is Circuit Clerk for Madison County. She tells MPB's Lawayne Childrey voters can apply for absentee ballots right up to the last minute.
