Segment 1:
 
Mississippi incumbent Senator Thad Cochran and his tea party challenger state senator Chris McDaniel are criss-crossing the state in the waning days before the run off primary.  During a campaign stop in Richland, Senator Cochran he's concentrating on his constituents, not his opponent.
 
Segment 2:
 
Some opponents of  the Mississippi Religious Freedom Restoration Act will be protesting at the state's annual New York picnic.  They  say  the measure could sanction discrimination against gays and lesbians.   Despite disagreeing with the new law, Oxford chef John Currence is cooking for the annual picnic.   He says he will also host what he calls the Big Gay Mississippi Welcome Table dinner tonight in New York.  He hopes that event brings awareness of the contributions of gays and lesbians on Mississippi's creative economy. 
 
Segment 3:
 
Mississippi will play host to one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world this weekend. As part of the U-S-A International Ballet Competition, nearly 100 dancers from 21 countries will begin competing in a two-week, Olympic-style event. Sue Lobrano is the organization executive director, and she talks with our Paul Boger.The IBC is in Mississippi every four years.  The other host cities are Paris, Moscow and Tokyo.
