Segment 1:

With this year's Senate Primary race in the final stretch, leaders from both the Republican establishment and the Tea Party are throwing their support behind the candidate they believe will best represent Mississippi in Washington. Both US Senator Thad Cochran and State Senator Chris McDaniel have received an out-pouring of endorsements. Over the weekend, the former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, was in Mississippi, and she lent her support to Tea Party favorite Chris McDaniel. Palin told the enthusiastic crowd that if Mississippians elect Thad Cochran, the results in Washington will be the same as they have been before.

Segment 2:

In the aftermath of a natural disaster it's important to be able to navigate the different loan and assistance programs, know how to spot untrustworthy contractors, and get legal assistance if an insurance company is trying to dodge its responsibility. To that end, the Mississippi Center for Justice held a legal clinic in Tupelo last week. MPB's Sandra Knispel talks with Paheadra Robinson, director of consumer protection at the Center.
