James Cotton

Larry Morrisey talks to blues harmonica player and vocalist James Cotton, the Lifetime Achievement recipient of this year's Governor's Arts Awards. Cotton is a native of Tunica. He started in the blues at a young age. He played in Muddy Waters’ band for twelve years before going out on his own as a bandleader in the mid-1960s.  Morrisey also talks to blues music journalist Scott Baretta about Cotton’s career.
