Plastics and Polymers Industry
Host Kerri Courtney visits Georgia Gulf Chemicals & Vinyl in Madison, DuPont in DeLisle, Wellman, Inc. in Bay St. Louis, Zeon Chemicals in Hattiesburg, and McNeely Plastics in Clinton to learn about the benefits and what jobs are available in the plastics and polymer manufacturing industry. She also goes to The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Polymers and High Performance Materials to find out what classes are offered to obtain a job in the plastics and polymer manufacturing industry.
Workforce Development Programs
The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Polymers and High Performance Materialsoffers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Polymer Science and Engineering and in Sports and High Performance Materials. Students receive training for a career in academia, commerce, and manufacture which process and use polymeric materials.
