Workforce Development Programs
Mississippi State University Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems
MSU’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS)partners with the government, trained professionals and brilliant, influential students- a trifecta that is bound for engineering greatness. This center is fueled by research, complex problems and technology teams that give answers to today’s problems.
CAVS is complimentary to formal learning inside the classroom. Students in the field of Automotives, Manufacturing Design and Cooperative Computing put their knowledge straight to use. Over 60 industry partners allow students to be trained and contribute ideas on all different levels.
Holmes Community College D.P. “Pat” McGowan Workforce Training Center
With a cost of $8.5 million, this facility is full blown to benefit all sides of the community. Students are offered 50,000 square feet of hands-on education and experience.
Dream it. Do it. Mississippi
Dream It. Do It. Mississippi
“Dream It. Do It. Mississippi” (DiDi) is sponsored by the Mississippi Manufacturers Association. The program is aimed to get Mississippi residents focused on their career and present them with a chance. Ambition comes from within, but the opportunities are on the outside. DiDi is a solution to community problems. It benefits businesses and future members of the workforce or those simply looking for more experience in manufacturing, security, and administration. Funded by grants and pursued by inspiration, the U.S. Department of Labor and other supporters urge Mississippians to take a chance and “Do It!”
