About Everlasting: The Life and Legacy of Medgar Evers 

MPB is proud to announce “Everlasting: The Life and Legacy of Medgar Evers”, the definitive documentary that will broadcast on MPB television in September 18th. Everlasting honors Medgar Evers’ life, work, and impact through interviews with family, colleagues, and historians giving a moving look at his enduring legacy in the fight for civil rights. 

MPB has also created a companion podcast to the documentary “Everlasting: The Legacy podcast”, which will include extended interview, along with archive clips and powerful in depth conversations. The podcasts are hosted by Rita Brent and will premiere along with the documentary on September 18th, 2025. 

The entire legacy project will also include additional extended interviews, digital content, and educational resources to preserve the legacy of Medgar Evers.

Join us for an engaging, standards-aligned professional development opportunity centered around a powerful new 2-hour MPB documentary premiering on September 18, 2025. This workshop is designed to help educators integrate documentary-based instruction, primary sources, and inquiry-based learning into their classrooms using the Inquiry Design Model.

Educators earn 1 CEU and leave with evidence-based, standards aligned resources that can be applied to enhance student learning. They may earn additional CEUS by submitting an in-depth, scripted 2 week lesson plan based on the workshop blueprint.
