  • "Writers" Assistant

    Mississippi Public Broadcasting is seeking a part time Production Assistant for its program “Writers.” The successful candidate will work with the producer in all phases of creating this television program, including conceptualization, scheduling, taping both in the studio and in the field, editing, website content creation, and program distribution. Successful candidate will have good organizational skills, computer skills, and communications skills.

  • Television Production

    Television production is seeking free lance producers, videographers, grips, production assistants and audio support persons interested in part-time, occasional employment. Interested individuals will be included in a pool of potential contract employees.

    Parties should be available to travel as work may be in various locations around the state. Producers and videographers (with professional equipment experience) must submit a demo reel.

  • Arts Reporter -

    Department:      News and Public Affairs

      

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

                 

    Mississippi Public Broadcasting is seeking an experienced broadcast journalist to produce arts-related reports.   This person will produce NPR-style stories/features on cultural and artistic events/issues of local and regional interest.  Candidates should be comfortable and competent with digital editing and will be responsible for researching, interviewing, writing, editing and recording all stories.   The ideal candidate should have strong news judgment and be an enterprising journalist capable of generating story ideas.
