About Operation Shoestring
Operation Shoestring, founded in 1968, works to improve the lives of children and families in the Lanier High School feeder community in central Jackson, including the children and families of Galloway and Brown Elementary, Rowan and Brinkley Middle, and Lanier High School. More than 90% of the children serviced are on free/reduced lunch at school - an indicator of child poverty.
