Former Governor Haley Barbour is being honor for attracting thousands of manufacturing jobs to MS, including Toyota and its suppliers. Yesterday, the University of Mississippi named its Center for Manufacturing Excellence after the 63rd governor.

The project is the largest study ever done on the possible health impacts of an oil spill. So far 29,000 people have enrolled, with 12 percent from Mississippi.
