Contractual Employment

Mississippi Public Broadcasting is an Equal Opportunity Employer. 

Production Assistant

Mississippi Public Broadcasting is looking for a production assistant to work on national video archival project. This is a short term contractual position, not to exceed 6 weeks. Duties include locating master tapes in storage from a list of preselected programs. Apply new labels with accompanying barcodes to tapes and tape cases. Scan and track located tapes in spreadsheet/database. Assess condition and playability of the tapes, consulting with employees responsible for broadcast quality control. Determine if the master tapes need to be dubbed, consulting with the tape vault manager. Perform dubs of necessary master tapes. Prepare tapes for shipping.

Television Production

Television production is seeking free lance producers, videographers, grips, production assistants and audio support persons interested in part-time, occasional employment. Interested individuals will be included in a pool of potential contract employees. 

Parties should be available to travel as work may be in various locations around the state. Producers and videographers (with professional equipment experience) must submit a demo reel.

Technical

Mississippi Public Broadcasting is currently seeking Independent Contractors to work at the television and radio transmitter and microwave sites statewide. Prior experience is preferred but not required.
